Being fashion forward is staying on top of all the latest trends. Part of this article, is the introduction of two up and coming projects for FASHIFY I will mention those later, but right now, Wiz Khalifa has the spotlight. From songs “Black and Yellow” to “In the Cut”, Wiz Khalifa is climbing the charts, and fast becoming a new wave in music as well as fashion.
Wiz Khalifa is an American rapper whose smooth rhythmic rap style has shot him straight to the top of the Billboard Hot 100. His mix tape Kush and Orange Juice got rave reviews. Currently he is signed to Atlantic Records, and with hits like “Black and Yellow”, the sky’s the limit. His label debut album Rolling Papers is set to release March 29, 2011. Rapping is something that comes natural to Wiz Khalifa, but his style is something of an anomaly.

Rappers are use to being trend setters. Like any rapper, name brands jeans and custom made tennis shoes are a must. Wiz Khalifa is very versatile. His core style includes a baseball cap, glasses, shorts in camouflage patterns and logo sweat shirts. His style reminds me of a blend between skater punk, and urban style. He sports a back pack in some photos, which to me is so trendy. His accessories consist of a chain with the letter “P” (representing Pittsburgh — his hometown) attached, and a wrist watch. For shopping his look, hoodies are a must. I would recommend brands like Tokkidoki, or scouring any Hot Topic stores for logo hoodies and camouflage shorts. His shoes can be found at any store like Reebok, Footlocker, or Champs.

You can also find some jerseys too, which he often wears to perform. Producer Swizz beats Reebok line carries “Black and Yellow” Reeboks made famous by none other than Wiz Khalifa. I’ve mentioned all the elements of his style except for his Tattoos which sets the pace for a new FASHIFY fashion trend!

FASHIFY is always up to date on the latest trends, so when inspiration hits, we respond immediately! I call it A.O.B Style for short, which stands for All Over Body Tattoos. Rockers and Rappers have been showcasing this trend for a while now. From Wiz Khalif, Lil Wayne (basically the whole Young Money crew) and the drummer Travis from Blink 182, fashion has seen a wave of new A.O.B style hitting the stage. It’s expressive and trendy, and sparks intrigue. These entertainers reveal a lot of themselves with their tattoos. As they excel in their careers, new tattoos appear expressing their triumphs and struggles. They use their music and body as symbolism of art. It’s a fashion trend that can never go out of style.
FASHIFY will also be revealing a new Urban Style section soon! FASHIFY is truly the best place to keep informed on fashion through all facets of entertainment. Fashion is always going forward, never backwards, so it’s comforting to know that FASHIFY will always keep you up to date and ahead of the game!
