I have recently been intrigued by watches as an accesory when my friend was given a wide banded Michael Kors gold watch by her mother. To me it makes such a statement of class, maturity, and an overall pulled together look. Skagen watches have become my most recent love with their sleek designs and uncomplicated, yet completely perfect silhouette.  My favorite hands down is they’re new black ceramic women’s watch. There’s something about the shine of the black and the quartz’s representing the time that entices me beyond belief. However, I do still love the nifty new digital watches in neon colors and let’s face it, simply confusing designs at times, which can be found on Tic Watches website.

Although I’ll probably never end up actually using my watch to find out the time I already have 3 watches in a shopping cart that are sure to become my wrist’s new best friend.

Everyone has an ego or alternative personality right? What about Drake? With Drake there seems to be a shaky balance between R&B and Hip-Hop. When he’s hummming along with Jamie F. singing “Falll For Your Type” he slides into the sleek black and white business attire clean but with a loose neck and open botton cardigan as if he hates ties but keeps the sex appeal of Ryan Leslie. Drake sexy? Not so much but it also shows his blues side while keeping the fitted to prove his swag no matter the season.

There is a flip side to this which leads to performances all in black with every pair of 23′s in existence which expresses “The Grind” another hit off his “Sincerely I’m Yours” mixtape.

I saw Drake change up the shoes once with these “Gourmet Quadici” sneakers said to be “Summerized” Duck Boots. I think these kicks are pretty cool and goes nice with his “OVO”. They look like a great Winter/Fall sneaker. They are like comfortable rain shoes, with a clog front and an air nike back with a black air sole at the bottom seperates them from a dress boot to a sneaker.

Later when he’s spitting 32 cocky hip-hop candy bars in the studio or out kicking it he’s ducked in a blue and black hoodie still two color styling.

All in all it makes you wonder; does Drake have a passion for fashion or did DRAKE’s fashion come from the influence of his designer since he hit the scence? Will Drake fashion improve to become a treasury collection like his music?

Me: How would you describe your style?
El: I like to think of my style as a “Male Flapper” because I don’t believe in limitations however, I do believe in appropriateness. But, if I had to sum my style up I would say that it has no boundaries but is polished at the same time. I play around with femininity and masculinity looks a lot to create my own style.

Me: Who, or what, inspires your style?
El: My inspiration comes from ideas of something. For example, if I am taking a test I may want to look preppy or Ralph Lauren/Benjamin Bixby-ish or if I’m going clubbing I think about how a sexy person would dress. I really don’t have a set inspiration; I pull from all walks of life for different situations.

Me: What is one item of clothing you cannot live without?
El:  I’m becoming more of an accessory guy. So, right now, it’s my earrings that I got from OAK NYC. I believe subtleties are unforgettable.

Me: What are your plans for the future?
El: I want to be a stylist. So, when I’m done with school in May I’m moving to New York to follow my dreams!

Me: Interesting fact?
El: I have to be in a music video one day! I HAVE TO!

Not only is El super stylish, but he has a circle of friends who definitely dress to impress.

Coats
It’s time to let go of what I like to call ‘old faithful.’
Old Faithful-(noun) black, unfit, wool-blended pea coat.
Don’t shy away from different colors, patterns, overall shape, and even length.

• A fur coat does not have to be an old Hollywood, big, luxurious statement. You can easily find a shorter, chic, everyday fur coat.

• A pea coat does not have to be so drab and boring.  Experiment with  fun colors and buttons. You can also do a clean military look with a nice pea coat.

• The cape is becoming my new favorite. I like things that blow in the wind while I’m walking; makes me feel like a sidewalk model . Free and flowy.

Gloves

Gloves are definitely in style for the winter.They  can take on a very Rock&Roll or vintage-inspired look.   Long, short, half, or fingerless (an iPhone user necessity)- gloves NEED to be apart of your winter ensemble.

Hats & Headbands

Sometimes we forget to shield what’s above the shoulders from the cold wind. It’s time to sacrifice your cute hairstyle for winter headgear. It’s cold out there. Turbans, trapper hats, fur headbands, and even beanies are all stylish ways to keep that head warm!
