“I was so excited to win this contest because I never thought I would win. In my country every little girl’s dream is to be a model (or Miss Universe) but they are extremely strict when it comes to height and proportions (even worse than in the U.S). In the modeling world where 5′6 is considered “petite, being 5′2 is completely out of the question.” says Backstage Miami Style Studio’s ‘Model Behavior’ winner Daniella Ramirez.

In June, Backstage Miami Style Studio set out to find a beginning model in South Florida with their “Model Behavior’ contest.The lucky winner received a photo shoot; with hair, makeup and wardrobe, a consultation with LaShawnna Stanley of Ethnicity Models, a Total Tote modeling kit from DunStr and a feature on FASHIFY.com.

21 year old, Daniella Ramirez, a native of Venezuela moved to Miami four years ago to study Marketing at Florida International University, in which she recently obtained a degree. Standing 5′2 tall, the former gymnasist and ballet dancer has wanted to begin a career in modeling but has always been hesitant due to her height. Now after having won, she feels the confidence to take the steps forward for print and commercial modeling.

Ramirez, blogs daily on her popular Spanish blog, ‘Fab, Chic and Fit’ (www.fabchicandfit.com). There she is able to write about trends and give style advice. Daniella also loves sushi, going to the beach and watching movie on rainy days. She is addicted to to shoes and summer dresses and is a self proclaimed expert on the drums in RockBand.

MIAMI – July 9, 2010 — Rachel Lym will launch her latest swimwear collection at SwimShow 2011 to be held July 17 – 20 at the Miami Beach Convention Center to anxiously awaiting clients and collectors.

The collection is where modern art aligns with sophistication, adorning women stylishly with each design created to flatter and compliment the woman’s body. Hard cup tops support and enhance the bustline, while the bottoms are carefully crafted to accentuate the woman’s curves, with moderate coverage.

1) What is the “back-story” of your line? How did Pink B Couture come about?

Well I started designing clothing for myself back in high school, my friends would see the clothing or notebook I designed and started asking me to cover their notebooks to match the glitter faux fur that I had on mine or design clothing for them such as prom dresses, tops etc back then I was just playing around or so I thought but going into 2008 I just got a little whim, took off from there and haven’t stopped since.

I totally agree that both fashion and life is art, other forms of art that I like to express myself through is home designing such as painting old furniture or crafting old, worn in furniture that I find on the street. I sorta tilt my head to the side when I see an old table or something and I am like hmmmm I know what I can do to this then Walllaaaa! When friends or family ask “Hey where did you get that from” then I go into my lil story they sorta look at me like WHAT?! in some form of shock… thats art.

A Pink B Couture chick is artsy, creative with a stylish and fun retro vibe, many of my of my consumers are late teen to mid thirtys women generally speaking. I believe a woman that likes to have a piece of clothing that is all her own or truly original or comes in limited quanites so you wont see everyone in town wearing the same thing when you hit the town. I think a woman that likes a subtle wow factor in her attire and likes very wearable couture is truly what a Pink B Couture woman is all about.

Pink B Couture has been featured as a semifinalist for Project Runway season 6, Austin Fashion Week Awards Rising Star Top 4 nominee, Sola Boutique Trunk Show, News 8 Austin, Austin Statesman. America’s Next Top Model season 12 contest London (Lauren) Levi has modeled Pink B Couture although I would love to have more celebrities in Pink B Couture which is something I look forward to seeing in ther near future, to really get my line out there for many women around the world to own a Pink B design would be nice!

I get asked all the time “Where can I find more of your designs?”, so people can definately look forward to seeing more Pink B Couture in a number of boutiques across the U.S. Other projects I am working on are setting up charitable work with charities one catered to children and the other in support of U.S troops such as USO, I’m a military spouse so that is a given that I will do what I can for support and I have been given so much in life that I want to give a little in return…

From Monday, June 7, 2010 through Wednesday, June 23, 2010, Backstage Miami Style Studio will be promoting by means of websites, online flyers and social networking sites, the opportunity to submit entries to win a grand prize as detailed above.
Print, radio or online advertising may also be used to promote the giveaway.

The contest begins Wednesday, June 9, 2010 at 6:00 a.m. ET and ends Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at 11:59 p.m. ET.
All entries must be submitted and received within this time period.
Any entries not received within this time period will be disqualified.
The contest winner will be announced Monday, June 28, 2010.
The winner will be notified via email and telephone and will have 48hrs to claim prizes.

In order to enter, you must be between the age of 18 and 25 and reside in South Florida (Dade, Broward or Palm Beach County).  Any individuals (including but not limited to employees, consultants, independent contractors, and interns) who have, within the past six months, performed services for Backstage Miami Style Studio or any organizations responsible for sponsoring, fulfilling, administering, advertising or promoting the contest or supplying the prize,
and/or their respective parent, subsidiary, affiliated and successor companies, and immediate family and household members
of such individuals, are not eligible to enter. “Immediate family members” shall mean parents, stepparents,
children, stepchildren, siblings, step siblings, or spouses. “Household members” shall mean people who share the same
residence at least three months in one calendar year.

The Grand Prize winner will be selected in a random drawing conducted from all qualified entries on or about
June 28, 2010 . In the event that the original Grand Prize winner does not meet Official Rules or eligibility
requirements, or he/she or parent or legal guardian forfeits the Grand Prize, Backstage Miami Style Studio will award prize to
first alternate. Process will continue until Grand Prize is awarded

Celebrity stylist Adrene Ashford will host “Adrene in Wonderland, an alternate universe where fantasy meets the runway” to celebrate the grand opening for her latest venture, House of Adrene, on Tuesday May 25th at 7pm at the location for her newest boutique, 246 Peters St., Atlanta, GA 30303-2122.

“I want House of Adrene to be a platform for new designers. Atlanta has long been a trendsetter in entertainment and most recently become a hot spot on the fashion radar. My goal is for “Adrene in Wonderland” and House of Adrene to be viewed as a type of fashion adventure,” the infamous stylista says of the upcoming show. The fashion forward, heavily themed show was inspired by Adrene’s favorite fairytale Alice in Wonderland.

Since bursting onto the fashion scene, Adrene has worked with some of the biggest stars in the industry; divas like Vivica Fox, Taraj Henson, Jennifer Hudson, Kelly Rowland and Ciara along with male clients like Hill Harper, Terrell Owens and the King of the South himself T.I. “I love working with new clients because it challenges me and takes my creativity to new heights,” she says when asked about her favorite celebrity muse.
