Atlanta: SIMON FASHION NOW™ Brings Free Fashion Shows Beauty

ATLANTA – Simon Fashion Now™, a free, high-energy celebration of style at all price points, will be making a stop at Lenox Square April 30 & May 1. Spotlighting must-have trends for spring from fashionable Lenox Square retailers, Simon Fashion Now is bringing the drama and excitement of runway shows to stylish shoppers in Atlanta.

“Simon Fashion Now allows Atlanta shoppers to preview fresh spring fashions from Lenox Square retailers,” said Shari Simon, senior vice president of corporate marketing. “Guests of Simon Fashion Now will see looks at all price points, so every shopper can find styles that work for them.”

Simon is also upping the ante with its 2010 tour, bringing on style expert Bobbie Thomas to offer Simon Fashion Now attendees inspiration and advice. Bobbie will be at Lenox Square on Saturday, May 1 to meet with fans and give her top tips for spring fashions. Bobbie’s national column “The Buzz,” featured in In Touch magazine, highlights Hollywood’s hottest fashion and beauty must-haves.

“I love that Simon Fashion Now makes it easy for shoppers to check out gorgeous looks on the runway and instantly recreate them with their own flair by visiting retailers within the mall,” said Simon Fashion Now style expert Bobbie Thomas. “I’m so excited to visit Atlanta to help shoppers select style choices that reflect their inner personality.”

Simon Fashion Now events begin at Lenox Square with Trends and Friends Night on Friday, April 30 from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. in the Neiman Marcus Wing. A series of fashion shows begin at 7:00pm in front of Macy’s, including Simon Fashion Bow Wow at 7:30 p.m. Simon Fashion Bow Wow is a design competition where adoptable dogs from Atlanta Pet Rescue will take the stage with local celebrities, each modeling spring clothing designed by fashion design students from Bauder College. In addition, shoppers will be able to participate in a raffle benefitting Atlanta Pet Rescue.

Shoppers can expect to see an abundance of styles for men and women ranging from casual weekend wear and stylish outfits for the office, to show-stopping looks for a night on the town. The public will be able to view runway shows rivaling major fashion industry show productions. Yet unlike the industry shows that preview styles unavailable for several months, Simon Fashion Now makes the hottest men’s and women’s fashions of the season accessible; every look from the runway can be immediately found at retailers within the mall. The shows will introduce looks from BCBGMAXAZRIA, bebe, Ed Hardy, French Connection, Metropark, Miss Sixty/Energie, 7 For All Mankind, Steve Madden and True Religion Brand Jeans.

Simon Fashion Now continues Saturday, May 1 with shows at 12 p.m., 1 p.m., 2 p.m., 3 p.m., 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. and will feature Style Stops throughout the mall. In addition to the runway shows, fashion and beauty experts will offer advice and insight into this spring’s cosmetic trends, highlight the must-have accessories of the season, and offer tips on updating a wardrobe without breaking the bank. Participating retailers include Bloomingdale’s and Macy’s as well as Ann Taylor, Anthropologie, Arden B., babyGap/GapKids, Banana Republic, Brahmin, Brooks Brothers, Caché, Club Monaco, Destination Maternity, Façonnable, GAP, GUESS, Gymboree, The Limited, Mori Luggage, Nicole Miller, PH8 and Swim N’ Sport. Also on Saturday will be a fashion show featuring clothing and accessories from retailers at Phipps Plaza. Participating stores include Belk, Nordstrom, Anne Fontaine, Barneys New York CO-OP, Cole Haan, Elie Tahari, Tommy Bahama, Tory Burch and United Colors of Benetton. Runway make-up will be provided by Sephora and model hair styled by Sassoon Salon. In addition, model participants will include Season 6 “Project Runway Models of the Runway” winner Kalyn Hemphill.
